Attention Patients with Aetna Insurance Plans

Dear Valued Patient,

If you are a current patient who is covered under Aetna Health Plans, you may soon be out-of-network at Family Care Associates. Effective 12/01/24 Family Care Associates may no longer be contracting with Aetna. We have attempted good faith negotiations for many months and have not come to a mutually agreeable outcome. **NOTE: This will only affect Aetna Commercial plans. It will NOT affect Aetna Medicare (Advantage or Supplemental plans) nor Aetna Better Health (Medicaid option) as those are separate contracts.**

We understand that this will cause concerns and questions for you, our patient. Please share those concerns with Aetna by calling the number on the back of your insurance card to request they collaborate with us to come to a mutual agreement.

Using Out-of-Network Insurance Benefits: Your Aetna health plan may still cover a substantial portion of your health care costs if you have “out-of-network” benefits. Look up your benefit plan details. If you do not have out-of-network benefits, consider switching to a health plan Family Care Associates participates in during the next open enrollment period.
